"If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian." -Paul McCartney
Sometime in the early months of 2014, I decided to cut meat from my diet. This was the second time I showed interest in being vegetarian, but the first time I took action. Although I did research, I did not do an amazing job of applying the knowledge I had. About 2 months in, I started having trouble waking up in the morning and I was always tired. I also started to get nose bleeds. During this time I lost about 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I was iron AND protein deficient. My parents also requested I stopped until my dad had a stable job. Over a year later, I decided that it was time to go back. Along with my diet, I am also only purchasing cruelty free products. I made this decision because I was exposed to the truth of how animals are treated in slaughterhouses, and in testing facilities. I do not think it is right. So I can make a difference of the lives of animals by not supporting the people who are being so cruel to them. I can also raise awareness of how these innocent animals are treated. I will fight for what I believe in until the day I die.
